AMEX Women's Golf Week Published by Metropolitan Golf Links on Sunday, June 11, 2006 On Friday June 9, 2006 Metropolitan Golf Links hosted a special ladies day as part of American Express Women's Golf Week. Participants were treated to a morning of instruction from Golf Channel's Big Break V star Divina Delasin. After that they enjoyed a trunk show from Oakley Golf, free putter fittings, and a 9 hole putting tournament. The day was capped off with lunch, 9 holes of golf, and goodie bags for all. All profits were donated to the Alameda County Chapter of Girls Inc. We extend our deepest thanks to Divina for pulling herself away from the action of the McDonald's LPGA Championship in Maryland by getting on a plane late the night before to make it to our event. Her sister Dorothy was in the lead at the moment she had to break free to leave for the airport. Metropolitan Golf Links |
