Your 'Junk,' Their Treasure

It's nearing the end of the summer, and that garage you promised yourself you'd clean out still looks like a pack-rat's storage shed. And the attic? Let's not even go there. Let's just say the bats in the belfry can barely find a place to sleep.
The problem? You can't bear to throw away still-usable stuff, such as old furniture, bicycles or children's books. There's a nagging voice that says someone might still want it.
The solution? There are always the all-purpose charitable thrift stores. But for some of your more special, or unusual, items get in contact with the organizations listed below. They'll gladly take your not-quite junk and put it to good use by giving it to those in need.
So c'mon, get started. Summer's almost over, and you know those bats get nasty come fall.
