'Tip-a-Cop' at Kincaid's to Benefit Special Olympics Posted in the Oakland Tribune on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 Written By Oakland Tribune Staff Writers Oakland ~ A nice view, good food and the opportunity to give a police officer orders is the luncheon fare today as part of a "Tip-a-Cop" fund-raiser at Kincaid's Restaurant in Jack London Square. The event, which benefits Special Olympics, begins at 11 a.m. at the restaurant, 1 Franklin St. Police officers, from senior commanders to patrol officers, will help regular waiters serve meals to diners. Officers get a portion of the tip, which goes to Special Olympics, a charity Oakland police have supported for decades.
