Become a Junior Ambassador
For Immediate Release

The Oakland Fukuoka Sister City Association (OFSCA) and the Asian-Pacific Children's Convention (APCC) would like to invite 5th grade students to apply as Junior Ambassadors. As a Junior Ambassador, students will have the opportunity to travel Fukuoka, Japan (all expenses paid) for approximately two weeks in July, 2008. The students will represent their communities, schools, Oakland and the United States in addition to making lifelong friends. During the two week cultural exchange, the student will attend a global camp with children from approximately 43 different countries and regions. They will also home-stay with a Japanese family to learn about Japanese culture.

July 13, 2008 - July 25, 2008 (anticipated dates)
Eligibility:
5th grade student must have been born between - 9/1/1996-8/31/1997
Application deadline: December 31, 2007
