Lifeguard Management Courses Tuesday, June 01, 2004 American Red Cross: Lifeguard Management Oakland ~ The City of Oakland, Office of Parks and Recreation (OPR), Aquatics Unit is proud to offer American Red Cross Management Courses in June at the Lake Merritt Boating Center located at 568 Bellevue Avenue, Oakland, California 94610. The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Management course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage lifeguards and to create an environment that keeps patrons, lifeguards, and the aquatics facility safe. The Lifeguard Management course covers the responsibilities of a lifeguard, team building, principles of injury prevention, risk management, and emergency response planning. This class is ideal for pool managers, head lifeguards, aquatics supervisors, and lifeguards aspiring to become members of an aquatics facility management team. Cost: $50 Non Residents 70202.415
