Celebrate the life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as Oakland marks Dr. King's 80th Birthday. Event will feature live entertainment, inspiring presentations and keynote speaker to be announced. The event will take place at Frank Ogawa Plaza, in front of Oakland's historic City Hall, 14th Street and Broadway. A resource fair will present information on volunteer opportunities, community events and celebrations commemorating Dr. King, his life and his vision. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved to the Elihu M. Harris State Building at 1515 Clay Street.
