Help Assess the Condition of our Parks on Love Your Parks Day Sep 26, 8:30 am ~ Noon |
| Join us on Love Your Parks Day when volunteer teams conduct on-the-ground surveys of the condition of Oakland parks. Start the morning with juice, coffee, bagels, and cream cheese at the Ebell Room at Lakeside Garden Center, 666 Bellevue. After survey training volunteer teams will be sent out to conduct surveys of 3-5 parks. Why: Park maintenance has been cut back severely due to the budget crunch. We need to determine how this has impacted our parks. Survey information will be used to file an official report on the actual state of our parks with Mayor Dellums and the City Council. |
