Calendar of Events August 2004 August 1 ~ 29 Henry J. Kaiser: Think Big Exhibition on the life and times of Henry J. Kaiser (1882 - 1967), one of the most influential individuals in modern California. The exhibition surveys the global reach of his industrial ventures, building the great dams of the West, shipbuilding, automobile and transportation projects, and America’s largest not-for-profit health care system, Kaiser Permanente, and his impact on the modern economic and cultural landscape. The Henry J. Kaiser exhibit is on view from March 1 through August 29, 2004 and is included with museum admission fees. Photographs, artifacts and oral histories explore Korean heritage, culture and immigration experience. Organized by the museum and members of the East Bay Korean community. This great tradition of thirty-five musicians offers a delightful afternoon of fine music. Please bring family and friends along with a blanket or lawn chairs to the bandstand in Lakeside Park on the shores of Lake Merritt. Come see and celebrate the hard work, artistic expressions and creative originality of your children and their friends.
