Beauty and the Beast
September 1 ~ 10
This musical retelling of the "Beauty and the Beast" fairy tale was Disney’s first Broadway show and recreated the magical world of the animated film in a live theatrical production. Belle offers herself as a prisoner to the Beast to save her father, and learns that people are not always what they appear to be. A delight for all ages. Presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International

Art and Soul Festival
September 2 ~ 4, 11:00 am ~ 6:00 pm
Northern California's most accessible festival with direct access from BART and free parking for thousands of cars. Enjoy three sensational days of music, food, fun and art in beautiful downtown Oakland. Live rock, blues, jazz, gospel and more on five concert stages. Exciting national and local acts blended with cultural diverse art, poetry, music and food. Children of all ages revel in the festive Family Fun Zone.

African American Shakespeare Company's presentation of The Taming of the Shrew set in the 1970s.

October 1
11:00 am ~ 2:00 pm - Oakland youth perform jazz and hip hop ("Oakland's finest up-and-coming artists").
2:00 ~ 6:00 pm - Four Flavors of Jazz featuring influential veterans of the Bay Area's jazz scene.

October 8, 11:00 am ~ 2:00 pm
Gospel On High featuring some of the Bay Area's best gospel choirs.

VIP seating and picnic baskets are available for purchase. Vendors, artists, and performers will provide additional pre-show entertainment.

Parking at the amphitheater is available and shuttle services from BART are provided by AC Transit.

Directions:
Woodminster Amphitheater is located in the Oakland hills, one mile up the hill from the Joaquin Miller Road exit off Highway 13. The exits are clearly marked off Highway 13 and you should make your way UP THE HILL to the Woodminster sign on the left.

From San Leandro and points south, take 580 to Highway 13 exit (Warren Freeway). Take the Joaquin Miller Road exit and turn right to go UP THE HILL.

From San Francisco, take 580 East to Highway 24 (toward Walnut Creek). Take this to Highway 13 SOUTH toward Hayward and follow Highway 13 until you get to the Joaquin Miller Road exit. Turn left UP THE HILL.
