The event is free and open to the public. Highlights include:
  • 5:30 pm ~ 6:30 pm - Bonsai Garden - Open House by the GOLDEN STATE BONSAI COLLECTION NORTH

  • Torii Gate
    (dedicated in memory of the late
    Oakland Council Member, Frank Ogawa)

  • Japanese "bento" box dinners
    (sushi & skewered meats/fish-vegetarian available upon request)
    * - advance order only by 9/25/06

  • 6:30 pm - Japanese Martial Arts and Koto performances
    SHIMAOKA KAZUSA KAI - Koto performance
    SHORINJI KEMPO DEMO (Martial Arts)

  • 7:30 pm - Telescopic viewing of the moon and other celestial points of interest - EASTBAY ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY
