Sailing is rarely this affordable!

The Fleet
The club has eight sailboats:

  • Three wooden folk boats
  • Five fiberglass keelboats
  • Catalina 22
  • Tanzer 25
  • Coronado 27
  • Newport 27
  • C&C 31

Location
The boats are kept on the Oakland Estuary at the Jack London Aquatic Center located on Embarcadero between Oak & 5th Avenue.

Cost
Classic Membership is $395 per year (about $1.00 per day) for use of the Folkboat only. The Expanded Fleet Option is $595 per year and includes use of all available boats. All memberships include unlimited use of boats.

Eligibility
A Basic Coastal Cruising certification from ASA or US Sailing is required to become a member. Certification classes are available through the Lake Merritt Boating Center.

Maintenance
Two weekends of maintenance per year are expected of every club member.

Sailing Boundaries
Skippers are required to stay within the San Francisco Bay. Charters must return to dock by dusk - no overnight charters are available.
