Sailboat Club
Prerequisites: ASA or US Sailing Costal Cruising Certification

The sailboat club fleet consists of 5 fiberglass keelboats docked at the Jack London Aquatic Center. A yearly membership allows unlimited access to all boats through an on-line sign-up system.

Sailing is rarely this affordable!

The Fleet
The Fleet The club has seven sailboats comprised of three folk boats and four fiberglass keelboats. Listed below are the 4 keelboats:

Tanzer 25
Coronado 27
Ericson 26
Nordic Folkboat 25

Location
The boats are kept on the Oakland Estuary at the Jack London Aquatic Center located on Embarcadero between Oak & 5th Avenue.

Cost
Membership is $625 per year and includes unlimited use of all available boats. There is NO per-use charter fee.

Eligibility
A Basic Coastal Cruising certification from ASA or US Sailing is required to become a member. Certification classes are available through the Lake Merritt Boating Center.

Maintenance
Two weekends of maintenance per year are expected of every club member.

Sailing Boundaries
Skippers are required to stay within the San Francisco Bay. Charters must return to dock by dusk - limited overnight charters are available with prior arrangement.
