This program empowers participants to meet their need for health, recreation, good nutrition, job skills, community security and natural beauty. If you like to garden, call the office for information on space availability and program details. This Parks & Recreation program works in partnership with school gardens, youth service programs, horticultural career-training (Americorps, Project YES, Merritt College Horticulture Dept., OBUG), and Oakland’s dedicated community gardeners. We welcome volunteers and donations of gardening supplies.
