The Rotary Nature Center at Lake Merritt’s Wildlife Refuge offers a variety of programs to schools and groups interested in using the environment as an outdoor classroom. Programs are running year round and can also be scheduled. Also offered at the Rotary Nature Center are many summer time programs geared toward participants of various ages. The programs range from general outdoor hikes to overnight excurssions.

The facilities that are used include the Rotary Nature Center, Lake Merritt/Lakeside Park, Joaquin Miller Park, Leona Heights/McCrea Park and Dimond Park.
