Additional Rental Fees
Oakland’s Park and Recreation reservation staff hours are between 9 am ~ 4 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Alcoholic Beverages
Champagne, beer, wine $ 100

* Parking Fee applies to the Lake Merritt Sailboat House and Garden Center on weekends and holidays.

Alcoholic Beverages
Fees for serving alcoholic beverages:
Champagne, beer, wine are $100.00
Distilled are $170.00

Alcoholic beverages are allowed to be served only at the facilities. If a request is made to sell alcoholic beverages, approval must be obtained from the Director’s Unit. (Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at youth events. See Youth Events for more information.)

Attendant
For all Youth events with over 50 youth attendees, an attendant will be required to monitor the areas around the facility and ensuring that customer(s) are complying with conditions stipulated in OPR agreement/contract. This individual will be provided by OPR and is required for monitoring purposes only. No enforcement of conditions/contracts will be involved.

Mandatory Setup/Teardown fee: $150.00
Setup and Teardown consists of City Staff setting up and putting away tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping. Rental group is responsible for setting up and removing decorations, cleaning the kitchen and putting all trash in containers within their rental time.

Major Holiday Surcharge: Add $20.00 per hour to above rental rates.

Parking Fee at Lakeside Park for the Sailboat House or Garden Center:
$2.00 - 2 Hour Parking, Monday through Friday
$10.00 - Daily Parking, Monday through Friday
$5.00 - Daily Parking, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays

Security/Security Guards
As required by the Office of Parks and Recreation, a minimum of two uniformed security guards for every 40 to 50 youth attendees, will be required. The security guards will be responsible for for monitoring gates and ensuring guests have proper invitations to attend event. If available with advanced notice, Oakland Park Rangers are preferred. If not available, the selected security guard company must be licensed and bonded.
NOTE: The security guard contract must be acquired prior to applying for OPD special events permit.

Oakland Park Ranger
The hourly rate is for each Oakland Park Ranger required. Fees are paid to Park OPD-Special Events Unit.
